7TH slippers
Most of the time when I go to the store for room shoes, I can not find "the right size" one for me. Verrrry frustrated.
One day, my previous slippers were finally broken. (sigh)
That is the reason why I start to think about making "my size room shoes".
I thought it's easy. But actually, it was not.
Firstly, I could not find the pattern of slippers.
Secondly, I did not know what kind of materials are good for it.
So, I started from "scratch".
I started the prototype with felts. (easy sewing)
Could make a "kind of slippers". But it was too small and very thin.
I was thinking about coushons. that was not so easy to find.
previous products had a sponge. but not so familiar materials for me and very difficult to sew.
I was thinking........ then one day, I found a good one! inner sole!
It was good, but still very narrow for slippers even men's inner sole.
hmmm....
Then, one day, I found a roll of old carpets in my garage.
Hey, why not?
tried carpet as "inner materials" of slippers.
That was much better. heh.
This 7th one is not a perfect yet, but much warmer and comfortable.
So far, this is "my size slippers". :-)

This size is very comfortable as a "daily handbag".
I already made many of this type.
I found this pattern from a book.
I like it.

I named this bag "uni" means sea urchin in Japanese.
It looks like it, doesn't it?
